Lingxiao Li

PhD student

Computing & Data Sciences

Boston University

Research: As a researcher in machine learning, Lingxiao’s research interests lie in building machine learning systems with strong generalization under minimal supervision. His current focus spans Generative Models, Chain-of-Thought Reasoning, and Vision Language Models (VLMs).

Bio: Lingxiao Li is a PhD student in Computing & Data Sciences at Boston University, where he is advised by Prof. Boqing Gong.

He received his bachelor’s degree with honours in Computer Science from the University of Liverpool and earned his master’s degree in Computer Science from Columbia University. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at MMLab, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, working with Prof. Xiangyu Yue. He serves as a reviewer for leading conferences and journals, including CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, Pattern Recognition, and TPAMI.

Outside of research, he is an avid admirer of classical music, particularly the works of Chopin, Brahms, and Mahler.
